The all terrain cameras look a bit vulnerable. Don't ding a mirror what ever you do !!! Bob.

Hmmmm Sales speak survey states that 90% of Prado owners drive on paved roads. Nice looking car though.

Hi Traveller
You will find that it is not just Prados' but all four wheel drive vehicles.I know a guy in a decked out Hummer H3 and I asked him if he would like to come out on one of our off road trips. His simple answer was no, it might get scratched.

Cheers

Stephen

I agree Steve. When I was travelling the Gibb River Rd in my Jackaroo, someone joked to me "It's about time I saw one of those with dirt on it!" LOL :)

I guess a 180L tank is not in this model as the spare is now underneath. The after market manufacturers must be rubbing their hands together. You don't need to do much to the current model to make it into a decent tourer.

Hi there Dustin, also noticed under the bonnet (if its the V6 motor) there is no room for another battery, maybe the diesel is a different story ?? Regards Steve

Dustin, the spare wheel might only be underneath on some overseas models - if you look at the New Prado page on Toyota's website, there is an image gallery on the RHS and some of the images show the spare wheel still mounted on the rear door.

Note the dint in the left hand front door at 2.47 of the clip.

It think they put it there while trying out the CRAWL system - it's not there are 2:30, then when the scene changes at 2:31 there's a massive dent in the front LH door - perhaps from those big rocks it just passed. Perhaps the driver should have been using those side-mirror-mounted cameras! LOL
