Belt drive transfer box

Serendipity of Mandurah (WA)
Can anyone confirm that the new 200 series landcruiser have a belt drive transfer box as depicted in this grab picture from a toyota advert.
I have confidence in toyota developing a robust product but this just seemed ... different.

Its also running the rear driveshaft in line with the gearbox. So does that mean it has a centred diff in the rear?
The front driveshaft is also on the opposite side to all the older LC

The BeLT as already suggested is actually a chain (i am pretty sure). It is much stronger than just having gears due to the fact that you have a lot more contact area transfering load.

And the reliability of their Patrol transmissions is legendary
(apart from that 5th gear fiasco, as I discovered!)

This is the new era....some model 4runners have had them for years....they are stronger, you wont break one
