I will be traveling the
CREB Track North to South leaving
Cooktown around 9am Monday.
Will be taking a couple of more adventurous side tracks. If anyone is wanting to do this trip on this date and would like to join in please reply by Thursday or let me know on 0408710992. There is a bypass you can use if you do not want to tackle my options. Cheers Tony

We arrived in
Cooktown Today 28th. Came up the CREB road a couple of weeks ago, dry and no traffic. Missed the options but still had a good drive.

Hi,
Did you tow your camper and was it any drama?

Did the trip without the camper. I think towing anything over that track would be a bit of a drag (no pun intended). Some sections are very steep with small washouts in all the wrong
places.

Thanks Tony. I drove it many many years ago and while I do recall bits of it can't remember in detail. Looks like if I want to do it the next time I head to the cape I'll have to leave the camper somewhere and do a circuit. I've found that you can generally get a camper most
places. However there's always potential damage to the vehicle and track. Not to mention if you need to reverse back down a deeply rutted and winding track, not something I would look forward to.
