Couran Cove Island Resort Report

Well we have been on the island for two days now and the weather has been perfect.

We are staying in an 'eco friendly' house courtesy of the company my wife works for. It is a great house with all the things one needs for a holiday. Well almost.

We have to buy our own food and beer.

Before we went onto the Island we were told to buy our food on the mainland.

We didn't. We only took some meat that we had one at the Springwood Bowling Club. By the way it is one of the best liitle clubs we have been too. Very friendly.

Anyway we got to the Island and went to by some food at the General store.

A carton of Tooheys New was a $75 and a carton of Heiniken was a mere $95.

Wime prices were a lot better.

Food is fairly expensive as well. A 600ml bottle of water is around $6, but you can refill them at the bubblers around the Resort.

There is a sign at the ferry terminal saying they won't transport beer onto the Island. However there is no bag search. We took a large esky on board and it wasn't even given a second look.

Don't bother bringing your detector to the island as I have already cleaned up the beaches with mine. I found $6.15.
