Willem
I took this pic in a remote locality in WA.
It does seem to be quite old but then again, without having the science behind me, I cannot tell for sure. It couid be quite recent too!
It does look like a vehicle with
wheels in red ochre and another conveyance with a wheel behind it in yellow ochre

Willem, hello, good to see you again!
It looks rather like the old Landrover I used to pedal around
Woomera in the 50's. And although I got
well down-range I don't think I ever crossed the border. LOL

Hey Willem - great to see you back!
Very interesting... one that Erik Von Danniken (spelling?) missed eh?
Looks a bit like a GQ shorty towing a pram :)
Cheers

G'day Willem
Nice image and no doubt a nice location, most of these concentric circle type Ochre paintings and Petroglyph's indicate a body of
water being near by.
Not to sure in this case ~ looks very much like an "Austin baby " from the 1950's. Maybe the art is depicting what the artist actually did see?
Good to see you are back in more ways than one, regards to Judith.

Welcome back.
I'm no good at picture puzzles, but if you squint hard, and look half sideways, it could depict a steam train with the smoke broiling back along the top, and multiple
wheels under it.
Or is the large mass behind it an oil spill from a 3 litre Turbo Nissan blowing a piston?
Cheers

Willem - if you get a copy of a book "
Cape York the Savage Frontier" by Rodney Liddell it may throw some light on why a lot of aboriginal painting appear with relative modern themes. It is a good read.

After hearing that the goverment give the indigenous people a grant to touch
up these paintings now and again, maybe an overzealous one updated a
10,000 year old one to a modern theme just to confuse everyone.

That would be my GQ towing the old Viscount van!
We were out at
Walga Rock east of
Cue recently - jeez they sure record history quick in that neck of the bush!
On a serious note,
Walga Rock has left me with memories to last a lifetime, a very special spiritual place.
