Hi All,

As some of you know I am currently heading around oz for a few years, having a bit of a poke about. Kev(QLD) pointed out that I wasnt going to make this years gathering! Unfortunatly!

We will be setting up in Ulladulla fro at least six months next year(family there).

We were thinking(Danica and Me). Ulladulla to camerons corner. Then onnadatta to the highway. Then ayres rock.

Followed by the GCR to Laverton.

Gathering at Wiluna. Just keep out of the pubs on pension day hey briggsy?

Canning Stock route.

The Tanami to the center

Then a french line crossing.

Do you think this is possible in one trip with the same vechile?

Matt,

I don't see why not.

If the vehicle is set up for the trip and is driven with due care there is no reason why you and the vehicle should not be able to do the trip.

Over the past few years I have been doing much the same trip, with the same vehicle (Troopie) and have not had any real problems.

G'day Matt,

what a great trip outline you've proposed. Certainly ticking a few boxes with that one. The Canning will provide the biggest test for your vehicle as many of us found this year, it is possibly in the worst state We've seen it over the past years, particularly with the corrugations. Having said that, it's a fantastic trip anyway. The Canning provides many options to retreat if need by.Well 9, Georgia Bore (22), Well 33 (Gary Junction) and 51 - Paraku (lake Gregory and Mulan).

The French line is a pretty straight sort of run if countless large sand dunes is normal. Not arduous though. If your vehicle is well prepared, the suspension and tyres being a prime consideration and you don't have to rush to meet deadlines (ie; take you time and drive to the conditions), you'll have an enjoyable trip.

Hope to see you there. Mick.

Hey Matt, Mick has some good suggestions. i.e. (ie; take you time and drive to the conditions), you'll have an enjoyable trip.
Not like the last time! LOL. Maybe next time you/we wont be in such a hurry to get to Wiluna.
Cheers,
Craig
