Hi all,i have a specific question about Ford F250 current series.
I on the verge of buying a set of factory alloy rims of the above vehicle,is there any one reading this with the said vehicle who has got the factory rims (the ones with, i think with five oval looking holes) would you know of the weight limit for each of the wheel(per wheel)
I am told by the seller that the limit is about 1500kg.
I need to know by tomorrow evening.
Thanks to all that reply.
Cheers,
Bob.

I have an F350 here in the USA with those rims but don't know the wieght limit, Wouldn't that depend on the load limit of the tyres.

All wheel rims should have a rating as to their maximum carrying capacity. If it's not stamped on the rim check with the suppliers/resellers. Whilst I may be on the wrong with this, I suspect that the total carrying capacity of the
wheels should be at least 25% (given the said vehicle has 4 on the road) of the GVM.

Bruce, thanks for your reply.
To what i can gather the axle weight may be the dominating factor as the rear axle is 3000kg & halve that gives you 1500kg per wheel.
The tyres i have on the truck are rated at 1500kg but was not sure of the standard steel rims or in fact of the factory suplied rims.
I did not want to go to a reseller with out this knowledge to back me up as some of them like to tell 'purphy's' (fibs) to get a sale.
Dio,i think you are on the money here with your reply,& thank you for the info.
Cheers,
Bob.
