Hi everyone new to the site i have just purchased a European van, Adria and I am seeking a good supplier in Melbourne to install a system for solar eg deep cycle battery, solar regulator and possibly battery charger. I haven't the time or the skills to do it myself.

HI
i ordered an Adria from Melbourne and European R Vs in Frankston last week. They are organizing the supply and installation of an 80 watt solar panel and regulator through their installer/supplier in Dandenong. The van already has Deep Cycle battery and charger installed. Price for the panel, regulator and installation is $ 950, but this is part of the package for the new van, so the price could be more for your van
regards

Garry,

I'd recommend you have a chat with Chris at Battery World Wantirna, and I stress Wantirna.

Battery World outlets are franchised and some franchisees are dills. Chris, however, is the most helpful, decent bloke you are ever likely to deal with.

On another note, the lady who lives next door to us has had an Adria for about six months. She bought it as she owns an X Trail and needed something light to tow. She actually gets off the beaten, and has towed it through some pretty rough territory (given that it's not an off road van) and she is most happy with it. Nothing has fallen off or broken.

Cheers,

Jim.

Hi Jim,

Thanks so much i will make contact and rack his brains. Hopefully he may offer installation of what i require.

And yes very happy with the Adria seems pretty solid and extremely light to tow. Internal finish is fantastic compared with some Australia brands.

Cheers,

Garry

Hi Garrybu,

Try the "Battery Base" in Mentone.
