My old mate keeps losing voltage to the dash ie blowing the fuse. I wonder if this is common or if anyone has a clue.

Thanks

thank you for the feedback. I would have got back sooner but too much lag on this site in recent days.

We pulled out the rough rigged trailer brake controller which picked up the signal current from the switch above the brake pedal and old bob has not had any problems since.

I suspect there was something wrong in the control box that was pulling more amperage from the brake light circuit than would normally occur but I will never know. I am assuming the brake light switch came from the dash fuse.

The brake controller pulled the main power straight from the battery with an inline fuse.

Early days however. The prob may yet recur.

Thanks again
