Yep, it is a scammer. Here is a cached page on ebay where itr was originally advertised for $109,500.

Just cut and paste the "2004 Winnebago Leisureseeker on Mercedes Benz cab" into google and click on the "cached" page results to see multiple entries for the "real" owners ads.

Perhaps the MODERATORS should step in and remove it without refund as this is a VERY well known scam.

Has been going on for quite a while both in papers and on Ebay Now on here which we dont really need.

Last one I saw was for a $190,000 vehicle for about $18,000.

However the picture had been "grabbed"off another site.

This bloke was dealt with by David a few weeks ago.
Seems he is back.

Maybe an email to David would be the best bet advising him of this guys return so he can disposed of him again when he gets back from his trip an a couple of days time.

In the trader section here.
Maybe a few stern emails replying to the ad, stating that the police have been informed, and will be in touch.
See how long it takes him to remove the ad then!!!

Cheers
Mark

The price is $15800. The motorhome looks and runs great. I am selling the motorhome so cheap because I am in United Kingdom with my job and I am going through a divorce. I am a VerifiedTrader so the transaction will be done through TradingPost. If you're ready for this purchase, I need to know your full name and address, as soon as I have them I will start the official procedure, and TradingPost will notify you about this. TradingPost will send you an Invoice with all the info you will need to complete the transaction. Also a 10 days refund policy will be included so if you will not like the motorhome you will receive your money back. Thanks, Linda

I then asked
Linda
I want to see the Motorhome first. I am not going to buy it "sight unseen", so there is not any point getting Trading Post to raise an Invoice.
So where can I inspect it?
Regards

reply
I am sorry but you cannot see the motorhome because I am in UK. A 10 days refund policy will be included so if you will not like the motorhome you will receive your money back. I have 2 more persons interested in buying the motorhome so please send me your full name and address if you are ready to buy it. Thanks

me
Looks like i'll need to miss out then
Kind regards

Hi, I have seen this numb n-ts on trading post and ebay selling everthing from harleys to caravans. Have reported him to consumer affairs (or whatever their called now) and was told they can't do anything except warn the relevant forums/trading sites about it.
He/she has been around since last year and almost caught me out when looking for a new bike. Almost.
Like you all say - buyer beware. Something didn't feel right so I didn't send the money and rang consumer affairs. They were well aware of this scam and had reports of several people being caught out for $1000's.
I would dearly like to meet this person and have a little chat about how the average aussie feels about scumbags like himself.

You would get the normal Aussie response as well A good look at a middle finger.

If they cared how you felt they wouldnt do it would they.

Always a sucker who thinks it a good deal..........................till it goes sour.

If its on Ebay do as I did Get them banned.

Did it to one who upset me greatly and every year I send him an email to remind him.

Just a friendly Xmas greeting with x number of years since you have been on Ebay ha ha

Graham,
I know full well what his response would be and by "chat" I didn't mean a few terse words !

I don't think I would describe myself as a sucker. I looked into the sale, almost decided to fly to Darwin to check the bike out and then decided it was dodgy and took the appropriate action.

Yes, I reported him/her/it to ebay and trading post.

I'm glad you had a win with getting one of them off ebay, unfortunatly there's always another to replace them.....

Cheers, Keith

Sorry wasnt actually referring to anyone in particular.

Just people in general.

There is always one who think they are onto a winner and dont look deep enough.

Its the old story isnt it If its too good to be true.........................................

Glad you didnt get caught

Then theres the one where they send a cheque for more than the price and ask you to refund the difference.

Dont drop the cheque. bounce bounce

David has dealt with this people before, I think he actually refunded the fees they paid as he was concerned about Credit card fraud with them also??

Speak to him when he gets back and I'm sure he will have something not so nice to say about them again. :-)
