Hi all, Can anyone advise of a free camp or cheap camp site near Nabiac NSW.
Meeting friends coming up from south coast and that is as far as they can get in one day what with city traffic etc to get through.

Many thanks in advance to all who can help.
Regards, Bruce.

Bruce,

Try Talawahl Creek Rest Area 32 02 57S 152 26 49E about 9km North of Nabiac or Wang Wauk Rest Area 32 09 16S 152 19 19E about 8km South of Nabiac.

Have'nt been to either but listed in Camps 4.

Regards

Thanks Gramps,

My friends have tried both of those and found them too noisy. Was hoping to get something further off the highway near Nabiac . I have Camps Australia 4 and aside from those you have suggested it does not list anything else in the immediate area. We are making our way to Gloucester the following day as that is where we are starting our tour of thunderbolts way. Plan to stay at Bretti reserve for a couple of days as it has recieved many glowing reports on these pages.
Once again many thanks, Bruce.

Bruce,

No worries. I've marked both as "Too noisy" for future reference. Thanks.

Hi Bruce

Maybe Kramback Park Rest Area - only 14kms from the Highway at Nabiac.
Be alot quieter - has a swimming pool, toilets etc.

Lat 32 03 06 S

Long 152 15 38 E

Google earth the area and have a look

Happy Travels :-)

Thaks Campergirl, sounds like my kind of spot. The only other place I can think of, which is listed in Camps 4 is the old rest area at O'sulivans Gap. Your suggestions sounds better though.

Many Thanks, Bruce.

Campergirl,

Thanks for the tip. I've added it to my "Camps4 Plus" list of possible campsites.

O'sulivans Gap is closed to camping accoring to camps 4 website.

if you go past Talawahal rest area almost to top of hill turn left onto Blackbutts Road road and drive about 200 metres there is a bush camp on the LHS NO facilities !

Many thanks done digger, I'll put that on the list of possibles.
Krambach Park rest area seems to be the one as it is well off the highway and heading toward where we want to go, so I'll hold out for more info on that one if I can.
Thanks again, Bruce.

Head West on Wallanbah Road to Krambach. It's just past the Hotel on the opposite side of the road - you will need to turn left to go behind the swimming pool etc.

Hope the above links work!

Once again many thanks Campergirl.
I looked at Krambach on Google Earth but it did not give any detail save for the golf course and club house.

We have to travel through Krambach so that will be our best shot.

This is a great club site effort.

Not commercial, but if you can afford the very reasonable price then you get even better functionality I believe.

Gazal Champion,

There is a caravan park at Nabiac, maybe you could try there.

Cheers,
