Jason (macca)
Hi all,
I need to replace the tyres on my 2001 Prado and am after some suggestions on which tyres I should get.
I do very little off road work and mainly use my Prado for towing my boat. The boat is quite a large boat (2100kg)
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason
I have a 2005 Prado Grande have just changed the tyres from Grandcraps to Bridgestone 265/65/17 Dueler not LTs as I also only do mostly road and towing.
Have do about 10,000 klms all towing been great.
Run 32 psi front and 35 psi rear when towing about 2000kg van, better ride than LTs if not offroading, work
well on dirt roads (Bloomfied track).
Cost $254 ea at Kmart.
Regards
Ted

Given your needs I suggest the Bridgestone D694 in AT as this load range is mroe than adequate for what you are doing. We have used both the AT and LT and find them an excellent all round tyre on our 120 Prado's
