Hi Guys
We just got back from the "Tip" found the roads/tracks better than we expected. Just glad we didn't go earlier in the year though, especially during school holidays, from all accounts it was pretty busy and standing room only. We were Lucky the
CREB Track opened the day before we got to Daitree, then went to see Eddie (Kedron Caravan Fame) at Elim. Up to Chilli Beach, then took the Frenchman's Track and onto
Weipa for some more Wild Turkey. Buy your drinks in
Cairns, much cheaper.
We took the Old Telegraph track up but decided not to do Gun Shot, people were taking hours to get through and doing damage as
well. We also took the ferry across the
Jardine, met someone who took 2 days to dry out his vehicle he decided to drive across and got stuck, lucky there was someone on the other side to help him out. We spent 5 days at Loyalty Beach and
Punsand Bay, could have stayed for weeks they are paradise, we then went back via the Bypass Roads. and Development Rd. to
Cairns and came home via the
Savannah Way. Everyone should do the trip at least once, we had a ball and scenery to die for.
Cheers
Rick P

Hi Rick. Just wondering how much
water there was in the crossings???
We're heading up at the same time next year. Cheers.

Hi Nath & Lynz
They were all fine with very little
water in them, but in saying that we had an average wet season this year and it was spread out over the full season. Next year could be different with another monster so best to check as time gets a bit closer.
Cheers
