Hi all,
Got back yesterday from a 2-week trip through WA's mid-west.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your advice on equipment,
camp sites, road conditions,
wildflowers, etc. It's the first time I've taken my family off the beaten track for a while (we've restricted our travels since the kids came along) and we had a superb time. Travelling some of the back roads between locations was a great way to get away from it all - after heading off the highway at Wooramel servo near
Shark Bay, the only stretch of highway we travelled on between there and home was 20km between
Wubin and
Dalwallinu.
Have put photos, etc in my blog for those interested.

Let me know if you would like any more information on
places we visited.
Cya all later,
Tristan

Tristan
I really appreciated your knowledge of the flora and fauna that you encountered.
Thats something I would like to develope.
My taste in clothing is more developed than yours however, judging by the walking shorts and board shorts you wore :-)
Excellent blog- thanks alot

Enjoyed the blog and photos Tristan. The Kennedy Ranges are one of my favorite spots. Drove past Coalseam Reserve in August but didn't stop. A trip for another day.

Just back from loop up thru Coalseam, thru
Sandstone (lovely caravan
park) across to Agnew, down to
Goongarrie DEC station, Karalee dam, up to Baladgie,
Westonia (Free new caravan
park) & home this evening via a night in
Congelin camp at Dryandra. Lots of orchids - 2 spiders, cowslips, blue ladies & more in bud at Dryandra - go in the next 3 weeks & mind the possums pinching your tea! Cheers Heather
