My daughter has a scuba bag with about 25 zips that continually oxidise and won't open. We have a practice of applying a range of compounds every couple of months but nothing we try seems to last. Has anyone out there found a reliable product that will last. These are plastic zippers but large and good quality bag (over $500). We have tried ezyglide, crc, zipper lube (very messy!) soap. I have thought about marine wheel bearing grease but that may ruin the bag.
I'd love some suggestions!

Hi Steve,
Your daughter needs to wash the bag in a divers bin full of fresh water, opening and closing the zips under water, same as her regulator and BCD. Then I suggest silicone grease, same as used on pool filter O rings etc.

I use the silicone spray on the bags that get salt water on them. I apply it very regularly.

Have you tried LANATEC it's a lanalon base product that I use in marine applications to stop corrosion.

Many thanks for the responses to this.
Whilst I have tried some of the suggestions, I guess it is a matter of continual upkeep and maintenance due to the conditions of use.
