We decided to travel to
St George from
Adelaide via the
Morgan Mail Run then link into the
Darling River track. An isolated patch of the
Morgan track had received 35 mm of rain even though the
Morgan end was dry. We (I) managed to bog the caravan in a rut full of
water and jelly like mud. After a bit of digging it pulled out using low 1st and both diff locks. The next day near
Menindee the dust blew in reducing visibility to around 10 metres at times. I have put a couple of photos on my profile. It was all worth it though as the gathering, which was our first, was fantastic. We had a ball and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know so many good people. As everyone else has said - many thanks to Sir Kev and his better half, John T and Scrubby for their efforts to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Hi Mike,
Nice short cut to get to
St George.
What a great shot of the dust storm....very eerie. The van bog looked innocent enough but as usual "never judge a book by it's cover" probably applies.
Cheers, Trevor.
