We regularly
park our Jayco
Heritage at Noosa North Shore (NNS) Beachfront
Camping Ground. Love the place, but since they have sealed the road it's getting harder to get into at anytime. Would anyone care to share other sites from
Brisbane to Rocky that may offer a similar experience? NNS has flush loos and hot (coin operated) showers, which is nice without being absolutely necessary. I've wired the
Heritage for solar so we are self sufficient, just need access to
drinking water and a beach and we're good!

Yes Noosa area has become a bit of a circus.
If they stopped closing everwhere off people might get the chance to spread out and go to other
places.
Have a look here;
https://www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks...park.../deepwater_national_park/index.html
It has a composting
toilet, good setup no smell, and cold
water shower for washing the salt and sand off you after
the beach, only about 18 sites, fresh
water (altough they recommend you boil it) and a great beach.
Take your own
toilet and shower with you, it will save to good old 2 am stroll to the loo.
You can get supplies from Baffle
creek or Agness Waters 18 km north up a sandy track, I am assuming you have a 4x4.
You will need to book
well ahead as silly buggers like me are foolish enough to tip people off to its existance and room is limited.
Cheers
Pete

Thanks Guzzi, I've got a diesel Pajero so the track sounds like a bit of fun for the
water! I've heard of Deepwater, didn't know much about it so if it's recommended then it's on the list! As you say, I've only had one response to my thread, understandably I guess people aren't too keen to share their spots when they are getting harder to find!
Many thanks.

You could try Elanda Point@ Lake Cootharaba.
No power sites but decent showers(hot
water)+
toilets. The lake is awsome and very shallow (good for kids and try sailing).

A bit further than rocky, but Carmila beach is fantastic beachfront
camping and free. There are spots a 2wd vehicle with van will get in easily - although many more spots have a bit of soft sand to negotiate.
