THIS IS FOR BONZ (VIC).

I SAW A NOTE POSTED BY YOU ON 2/9/03 ABOUT CATHEDERAL BEACH CAMPING. WE HAVE GOT A GROUP OF 10 PEOPLE AND 9 KIDS GOING TO FRASER AT THE END OF THE MONTH AND WE ARE BOOKED IN THERE TO STAY. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE. WE HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN THERE YET BUT SINCE WE PAID OUR DEPOSIT WE HAVE NOT BEEN TREATED VERY NICELY AND EVEN HAD 1 DAY OF OUR BOOKING CANCELLED BECAUSE IT INTERFERED WITH HER OTHER BOOKINGS. WE ONLY FOUND THIS OUT BY ACCIDENT 2 WEEKS AGO AFTER DOING A FINAL CONFIRMATION.

THANKS TC0233

I personally haven't stayed their due to their unfriendly nature. They used to have a heap of rules one of which was No smokey fires. I would book in to the nationally park site at Dundubara (phone 07 4127 9138) ,however as it looks like you will be there in school holidays it might be a bit late.

Have a good time

I unfortunately stayed at Cathedral Beach Resort last year, and worse yet paid full wack before arriving. The place is very nice but is run by the rudest woman I have ever met. I stayed in their under cover tents with fridge supplied. As we were the only ones there we had six other fridges empty so we spread our food into the next freezer so as not to tax ours. When we came back from fishing she had emptied it out and "confistated" our food. I asked her for it( fairly nicely I thought ) and was told it would cost $30 to get it back or else she would feed the meat to the dingoes (true storey). At this stage my wife dragged me out of the shop to stop a punch up with me and her entire family. From then on she would not serve me (understandibly) or my family in the shop or sell fuel to us. We got the meat back after paying her the $30. I never miss an opportunity to" bag" Cathedral Beach Resort. If you haven't paid your full money - Go somewhere else.

yer....... sent the email to you tc. she is a shocker! she really made our visit there a drama, everything else on the Island is magic...Cathedral Beach for us was anything else but, however Rohan made my day during his visit with a purler of a pic taken outside the Cathedral beach concentration camp that I shall treasure for a long time.

Thanx Mate!Laterally Literal
