Cheers.....Lionel.

Hi River Swaggie,

I by the vanilla shape like a tree. You'll notice its in a plastic bag when you buy it.
Read the instructions but you gradually lower the plastic each week to "let a little more purdyness out" It should last about 2 months this way.

regards Wilko

I like to get those little eucalyptus oil bottles, and splash a couple of drops about as needed. Lasts for ages, keeps the sinuses clear, and not very expensive. Just don't use too much, especially when it's hot, or ya'll have the "Blue Mountains Haze" in the cab with ya. LOL

Fred.

If must be a real slow night....!

I prefer the dags left over from sheep crutching, mixed in with the remnants of foot rot. Nuthin’ like it to get a man’s breathing passages going next morning. LOL.

PS How are you going Fred?

The Vanilla tree is the best one- smells so yummy!

I don't recommend buying the ones filled with liquid- way too pungent- I made the mistake of buying a peach/passionfruit one which smelled great in the box and awful in the car. Threw it out after a few weeks, yuck!

When i owned my SS i used to just use the small smelly trees, along with some sort of smelly sand stuff that you put in the ashtrays. It came in small satchets, put one in each ashtray and it did a great job. Lasted at least 6 months and whenever the car got a clean i would spray some other sort of air freshner in a small pump bottle. I used the car to get to and fro work, (which included loading cattle onto ships and being covered in faeces, and loading/unloading of nickel and diesel) and the car always stayed fresh. I cant find the little ashtray salts anywhere anymore, but still use the small spray bottles and trees in the Prado. All my mates reckon all my cars have always smelt the same and wish they could keep theres smelling as good. Rather easy i reckon, only cost about $20 bucks and lasted at least 6 months.

I drive a taxi when I'm not dreaming of going bush. It actally crosses over there a fair bit. So far I have found eucalyptis oil in a small spray bottle the best. Just use it straight in one of those airfreshener bottles. Customers love & the cab always smells good. Been using it for 12 years & the lungs are still fine.

I got fed up with the mess inside my rig on the weekend so threw out the 3 yr old seat covers, vacuumed about 6 mths dust out of the carpets and seats, wiped all dust off the dash board etc and armouralled everything vinyl I could find in it and a 4 year old car smells like new again.
Oh yeah also threw out a few suspicious looking wrappers etc from under the seats and in the ashtrays.

Some trucks, Benz etc, have filters in the A/C, but mainly in the return air on general A/C at home or in coaches . .
