I know this is off topic and if it gets moderated then so be it, but respect is what is required.
Over the last 3 or 4 months I have been researching and photographing every headstone in the War Graves, I have put all the files , 4004 so far with more being added as I find them and i have put them together into a webpage and I am making enquiries as to costs etc to get it onto the Internet, some names through the alphabet have up to 6 or 7 documents , I have made a small demo and added it to my personal webpage for members and visitors to check out, I'm sure many of you have visited the Graves when in Adelaide River.

Doug,

there is already an internet project that aims at collecting photographs of all known graves of Australian servicemen and women. I have the details somewhere so I'll dig them out and send them to you. It's done with the assitance of the AWGC. They also list cemetery sites that are yet to be visited and ask that people who are travelling in those areas, attend and take photographs for the project.

Cheers Mick

there are many incarnations in doing this....

Get a permanant IP from you isp
Run a webserver on you home machine to host the pics
Either ...Get a web-hosting package that runs "Cpanel" software or delegate a domain to your IP

should cost only about $20 a month MAX!!!!....plus your domain name....

This is a wonderful thing you are doing Doug. I am sure a lot of people out there will benifit in some way from it.
As you know my uncle is buried there and I have yet to go there.
I would be more than will to contribute to the cost as a donation to you. Please let me know if I can help in any way.

Instead of trying to put it up on a web site, which would be a great idea if not for the expense, have you considered putting data onto a CD/DVD and making available for a price, $20 or so. I don't know, just a suggestion.
