Didn't pay the rent so kicked him out.

Hi Ozboc, I'm Central Gippsland. There is nowhere between Melbourne and the NSW Border that I know of where you can "legally" drive on the beach. Highly unlikely on the other side of the Border to Tathra as well as is all NP along the Coast. Some great 4wding through Croajingalong NP on the Vic side though.

Some Beach camps out of Mallacoota down to Shipwreck Creek (NP) and Thurra River out from Cann River. Magnificent isolated beaches with good surf fishing.

Hi Ozboc

To do it legally you have to cross the border into S.A. and you can drive east along the beach to a Vic border sign on the beach.

Closer to Tathra->
Presume you have heard of the Portland dune buggy club arrangements , whereby you can join the club for a weekend and play and camp in a big area of dunes in the discovery bay area, but you are not allowed to drive onto the actual beach area (think about 150m from beach).

after i followed ALL the suggestions - the prob was/is still there but not as bad, this included new tires , shocks . dampner , castor bearings , tie rod rubbers

what i have noticed is that the vibration is worst for the first 5 min when everything is cold .. after that time it becomes far less - but what is obvious now is that when braking hard from about 80 KMH i get a lot of feedback through the steering - so cleaned disks with disk cleaner in case i had slippery spots - no difference , will change out rotars when i get time as i think they may be warped and as a result i think the magical speed of 80 KMH is the resonate point that causes all the vibration

Hi Boc, I have the same problem, My 2003 GU feels like a an old Commer truck from the 50's sometimes.. I have searched all the archives with interest. I also had the front discs machined as they shuddered on hard braking but that was a separate problem.. i have the 80 to 100 kph shake, sometimes feels like the rear and sometimes like the front.. The type of road surface and the condition gives different shudders and shakes.. i read somewhere that it could be the rear uni or the tailshaft is running out.. that's possible. .. thanks for that.. Michael
