I am researching caravan power movers as an option for my 'small garage entrance'. I need to be able to get my Jayco 'Dove' up an 8 degree incline into my narrow entranced garage.

Has anyone had a PowrTouch [correct spelling] or Reich power-mover installed?

Garytee,

I have a similar problem and decided on a dual wheel, manual imitation Mule (sp?). I believe it is called a "Powermover" or similar. I decided on this after ruling out the various electric ones because of the cost. I have made the task easier by buying some mild steel box tube to act as an extension handle. Solution is several hundred rather than several thousand dollars.

One problem you will face is down weight on the wheel. Sometimes I have to get someone to sit on the A-frame to get some traction.

Good luck with it.

Skull,
Thanks for your reply.
Out of interest - did you look at any particular electric brand and what prices were you quoted?

Hello garytee.

There are a couple of electric movers on the market that temporarily attach to the ball coupling or jockey wheel clamp. I know a bloke that is developing a electric jockey wheel that replaces the original jockey wheel. That way you take it with you everywhere and power it from Tug or van battery.

Here is a short video:

Will not post his personal email without his approval. Could posibly supply a phone number.

Like I said, its in the final stages of development.
