Simon,
The simple solution to mould is bleach. Get some household bleach and mix up a 5% solution with
water. Apply it to the mould and wait about 5min, have a cuppa, then wipe off. give it all a good rinse and let it dry. You may want to ware rubber gloves.
You can sit a saucer with clean
water and a few drops of vanilla in the fridge/freezer to give it that sweet smell when you are finshed.

Simon,
I'd wipe it out with bleach on a cloth or sponge then let it air out for the day Then re wipe with vanilla essence.

hi god your a worry for a start there i thought oh no we have a new breed of fungus but you do mean mould ?
treat it with straight bleach soak a piece of cloth big enough to sit over your mold ?
and tilt the fridge so the cloth stays on the patch leave it over -night 12hrs then clean it with vanilla essence or eucalyptus oil and then hot detergent and let air dry in the sun that will fix it nevered failed for me the euc oil will remove the stain
cheers

bleach might be a tad severe on the freezer...alloy and bleach dont mix
let it dry out, scrap off with plastic spatula
bit of hot hot (Boiling)
water...and let dry
freezer temps will do the rest when it runs...(if anything remains that is)
