just goin
Hi All,
Just after some advice from those who may have spent some time at Lake Cargelligo NSW recently or at all really.....we are looking at stopping there within the next week as part of our trek home from the
Murray River???
Never been there and it sound nice by name but wondered if its worth seeing and what is there to do etc...travelling with 2
young kids in a caravan so would be wanting van
park accomm or any other suitable accomm near the lake if that was possible???
Otherwise any other
places of interest would be fantastic - we are currently in
Echuca VIC and leaving here on Thursday morning, need to be in Narrabri NSW in 12 days for a function after we leave here and therefore hoping to weave a path between here and there seeing
places we havent seen before but something worth seeing if that makes sense....we will go to
Hay NSW first stop but then we are undecided....
We enjoy fishing and would be great to do more of that along the way if there are any spots of interest as
well...
Thanks in Advance

Yes it is worth a look over and has a great
lake.
You really need to visit now as there is talk of stopping the Lachlan from flowing and this will have the
lake run dry as it has in the past.
There is good
camping around the
lake as
well as out at the weir.

The weir is my favorite when in the Area.

Excellent van
park...nice environs...not a great deal to see/do in town..but
well worth checking it out.. There is a machinery 'museum' right next to the van
park !!
