For a short day trip do the Montezuma trek, piece of bleep for a 4x4 without a trailer but depends on conditions -
mine are based on April 2000.
Gibb River in July.

Rick,
There is a book called Off-road Tasmania, by Chris Boden. Has about 55 tracks described.
The author has a web site at
http://www.roving.com.au/
I bought a copy at Mapland in
Melbourne.
ISBN 0-9579402-0-3.
regards,
Martin.
