I am sure there is a mountain of info in the
forum archives re
seat covers, but I am unable to find it!! (sorry).
I am wondering if any Explorozers can recommend - have been happy with -
seat covers for a 4x4. I have cloth seats and just want to keep them clean.
Thanks, Ian

Gday,
Sorry...but I cant remember who made them, but they were a paded canvas cover that lasted for years. We used to buy them from our local Toyota dealer and I think they were made in WA.
Someone else might be able to shead some more light on were they come from.
Cheers

For excellent protection but barely any comfort go Black duck.
For excellent protection and comfort go Rough Country padded canvas
seat covers. Available from Autopro i think or Auto One. Very comfortable and have pockets on back also.
BIL has them in his Hilux, i like them very much. I just have sheepskins, no protection but alot of comfort.

Black Duck for sure. I have them in my landcruiser and commodore. My staffy can climb in out and around and she can never wear them out.
Well worth the $350

I did something very unusual for me and bought the cheapest canvas
seat covers I could find… Rough Country through Auto Pro. Re Koozer’s comment above. They were about half the price of the others and to my surprise fitted like a glove. I got front and rear seats done for about the cost of front only from the others. I highly recommend them.
Myles.

I you don't want anything fancy then just get some cheap ones. I have some ARB ones cost me about $80 or something a couple of years ago and they just slip over the seats and are washable

We have had Black Duck in several different cars (yes at times Hubby should have kept them rather than leaving with the car when sold).
I've seen Michelle Sacs advertised a lot.
I have seen the ones in Auto1 etc and no real reason why I wouldn't give them a go. Maybe the canvas isn't as thick? But then on the other hand things can be over built, not everyone wants or needs their
seat covers to last for 10yrs or whatever.
In saying that you could get the standard (non canvas) cheap jobs or go for comfort in something like a sheepskin if you didn't mind washing them from time to time. The only real downside to the canvas is that it can get pretty hot on the bare legs in summer. But ease of cleaning in my view negates that!

Have a look at wetseat neoprene covers
http://www.thewetseat.com/. Have them on my Hilux and are performing very
well. They remain soft unlike the canvas ones.
