David,
There is something wrong with the site speed. I click on a post then get up to go get a coffee and BANG, it pops up on the screen. Then I click for a reply and get up for a drink and BANG it pops up on the screen, immediately, no waiting, That time I didnt even get a chance to turn away from the screen and the page was there.
So I replied and then went to go get a drink and BANG the screen with all the
forum posts is back. I know there was some computer jargon and gobbledygook a few posts back but I am in serious need of fluids and am contemplating some type of lawsuit for dehydration brought on by the instantaneous display of pages.
Do you have insurance for that type of claim? I am almost expiringgggggggggggggg.
Seriously, the speed is remarkable. On behalf of all
forum users and their significant others, who wait in bed while the screen refreshes, thanks, for nailing the issue and fixing it for us all.
Now for that drink...Dang the next screen has just popped up I might check on one more post :)

Thanks Bonz,
It was a real pain trying to find out what was going on and was a serious waste of nearly 4 weeks of development time but it appears to be behind us now. The only problem is that I have to now go and turn back on most of the software I had turned off over the past weeks to get the site back to how it should be running, then I can start to move forward again. Major problem is 4 weeks of new tasks have also hit the list so now I am only about 8 months behind my dev schedule. Anyway I am so glad we have solved the issue I will now sleep a lot easier.

Well done David for keeping at it, whilst it may have been hard you should be proud of the end result. Sorry if that sounded a little squishy. LOL

David
One thing I have notice since the repair to the site, is that it is back to chewing my computers resources IE up to 58% just to change or load a page.
This was happening before and there was another post about it. my CPU fan is starting (speeding up and slowing down) as I type.
It does not seem to be happing with other site as much.

John there was a faulty piece of hardware at the ISP and once that was replaced, all was good. Theres a post about it on here somewhere.
One thing I have noticed isthat EVRYTHING net wise is faster now, even non EO sites

I bet when David read this post his blood pressure went to 400/200, until he got to the end. The site is alot better and I am one that had a sook about it. Although it was frustrating at the time. But now it is fixed it was worth it. I wonder how many of us David has got the craps with for whinging.....................................oops. David let me know in more words than one he was working on the problem, and I thought oops, I think I just made his day worse, but look, where would he be with out all us..............lol
:-(
Thanks David
Karen

The Site is so fast now that I don't get time to make a coffee, I don't get time to read all the threads, I'd like to make a complaint..!
