Snorkel Help

Hi All,

I want to put a snorkel on the F100. Now nobody (Safari, Airflow etc) makes one for a 1986 F100.

I've been told that the angle on the GQ Patrols is the same but can get no other details from Safari or Airflow on dimensions.

I'm looking at this one:

or this one

Airflow

If anyone has one of these fitted could you please measure the distance from the rear of the bottom corner where it curves upward to the rear of the tube section that goes through the guard.

You might like to think about making you own as quite a few others have either out of stainless,aluminium or pvc pipe around 2.5/3 inch.Have seen a couple made from these products but not up close & personal.
There have been some posts on here about them but none have had pics.
Not much help,though may be food for thought.

Hi Bob,

Travelling's good was down SEQ about 4 weeks ago in the F100.

Had looked at that for the snokel but just wanted something that was done as opposed to having to construct it myself.

Okay, if I've followed what you want measured correctly....

The GQ Safari snorkel is 800mm (give or take a few mm) from the rear of the air intake to the start of the up sweep, measured on the bottom of the horizontal length. The air intake is about 100mm, so 900 or so to the front of the intake. If it helps, the angle of the snorkel is approximately 50 degrees from the horizontal for the vertical length.

Hope it helps, just don't ask us to convert to imperial!
