Gday all,
Is there any roads or tracks leading to the
Kimberley coast or is it only accessable by air.
Cheers Guy

Kalumburu, Port Warrender.
There used to be a great
sign on the track leading down to Port Warrender : "No Potable
Water. Sandflies and crocodiles abound."

As stated plus
Derby and
Broome where you can walk to
the beach from your
camp.
Places like Horizontall Falls need a plane and big deep pockets
Just get a map or look on the
places to go on this site
Just be aware thet fishing in the Kimbereley may rely on you being able to move faster than a croc.
LOL

Graham, it doesnt mean you have to be able to move faster then a croc, just faster then the person your fishing with. Haha, thats how i think anyway.
travelguy, there are plenty of
places. all depends what time off year your here, what fish your chasing, what vehicle you have, how long you plan on being out there, type of scenery you want, how remore etc.
Heaps and heaps of
places, but all depends on what you want to get out of it. Let us know what your plans are and ill do my best to share some info and ideas.

Yep, good place to start. BUT, that doesnt even touch the surface. There is a difference in actual local knowledge, and someone who gathers information off brochures and internet and puts it online, if ya know what i mean. There is tonnes more info available on this site, guaranteed.

A lot of it is accessable but is on a few Aboriginal
reserves like Oombulgurri,
Kalumburu and Kunmunya where you need permission to go and wander around. Did a trip this year on Oombulgurri that took us from the Pentercost river around the coast at different
places to
King George falls and out past Carson river back to town. Some good fishing spots and minesites that have been abandoned in there. Walcott Inlett is a good little run and fishing near the mouth of the inlet is good , And can become interesting if you dont watch it as the tide runs. Depends on your time frame and vehicle capabilities.
