How is your EO Sticker Going?

Hi All,
Just a question to see if it is just me, or is happening to other members. The new round EO Stickers that we proudly display on our vehicles has a fading issue. When they were the old style logo, the sticker did not fade at all and I only replaced it after a good few years, just to put the new style logo sticker on my vehicle. In less that 12 months, is was very faded and the Australia symbol had faded to yellow. My vehicle is housed in a garage and does not see a lot of direct sunlight, except when out on the road. Just as well as I still have a few of the older style stickers, so it was off with the new and back to the old.

Is it just me or have the manufacturers of the stickers done a shonky with ExplorOz.

Cheers

Stephen

Hi Graham
The Old Logo Sticker could stand the riggers and still look good. Have a look for the old style sticker on this Road Junction sign on the Abandoned Gunbarrel with the Heather Highway. The only protection from the sun out there is at night, and this sticker has done a great job.

Cheers

Mine has withstood the rigours of being on the spare wheel cover for 27,000k an is starting to lift at the edges a bit(not surprising) but the colour has almost completely gone in 6months.

It must be invisible cos i have got a long way round and not been spotted yet.

LOL

Will hop on the shop page and get some new ones.

Hi Graham
They do stand out and are a great way letting others know the best site around. Last Easter when I was up the Riverland, I had met one member and was going to meet another. While sitting in my vehicle in Renmark, and chap came up to me and said, "are you Stephen". This turned out to be the other member that I was going to meet. He was driving past, noticed the sticker and then put two and two together. Without that sticker, I would have been just another vehicle parked in the Streets of Renmark.

Cheers

Hi Richard
Sorry, but I missed out on the Elvis tour. As for the EO sticker, my picture was taken this years. Seeing the very harsh conditions out there in the Gibson Desert, it just goes to show just who good the old stickers were and was still as good as ever after 2 years in the deserts of Western Australia. Next time, can you give me a little more notice of the Elvis Tour , rather that 2 years after it has taken place. LOL

Cheers

The last batch of round stickers did fade and we have replaced them with a rectangle one that will not fade - please just into the shop system and order yourself a few of the new ones - they are free and posted for free so jump in there and order a few replacements. We are thinking of reprinting the round ones but at this stage we have got the rectangle ones in stock.

Hi David
Perhaps you may have an issue to take up with the printers for not supplying you with what you wanted. They are the best and cheapest way of advertising, and like many members, are proud to display it on my vehicle. I like other members have had stories published in National Four Wheel Drive Magazines, and it is a good way of showing the world the BEST site here in Australia.

Cheers

MORE ROUND ONES please.

They are easier to spot than the rectangle ones ;)

Hi Kev
Have to agree. The old round type EO stickers are unique and easy to recognise when looking in the rear view mirror when passing another vehicle.

I think it is time to start a new Poll.

I vote for the Original round Stckers to be bought back into production ;)

Hi Michael
It was good to see that it was not just me and others have had similar problems. It sounds like David has grounds to go back to the printers for not supplying what would have been ordered.
