I just made a reply to to Bonz re question about a Nuvi , in the link supplied I clicked the "Where to Buy" button and checked the NZ prices, the units sold in NZ also have the Australia / NZ map software installed, Now the difference in the $$'s I'm wondering if that would be the best place to buy,

JB Hi-Fi NZ

Todays rate for NZ$360 = A$293.20,

Savings to be gain eh,

Yes there was and what they didnt say and it really matters is that a lot of

stuff cameras especially have a COUNTRY OF PURCHASE WARRANTY.

That is buy it in Outer Mongolia and you have to send it back there for a warranty repair.

I was going to buy a NIKON D200 from Hong Kong but decided against it and

got one here from a dealer for not much more with an AUSSIE WARRANTY.

NIKON Lens are different and have a worldwide warranty.

Its the fine print that matters make sure you read it or ask before buying as

the Aussie distributor wont want to know about a grey import.

If you buy in Aus a couple of weeks before you go to NZ you can claim the GST back at the airport when you leave the country .

Just another saving to look at.

Thanx Doug, I am now thinking that a Garmin Oregon is a better compromise for what is needed.
