G'day all,

Can anyone tell me what the screw or bolt size is used to secure the standard fog/cornering lights onto the Sovereign bullbar of a 2003 GXL Prado. My driver side light has lost the fixing and I need to re-secure it. It's a b@!$%d to get to.

Bazza.

From memory the original fog lights have a lug on each side & push into the plastic bull bar housings & the plastic housing is held into the bull bar with a couple of self tappers

Hi Don,

Thanks for the reply. Close, but not quite right. The light housing is held on with one or two lugs on one side, and then secured with a bolt on the other side. The bar has a welded nipple which is threaded, but I can not find a bolt that fits, and it's a real mongrel to get to. I've spoken with Toyota, but because it's made and supplied by someone else, they have no details on its. I'm trying to avoid taking the other side off to check, because I'll then have two that will be hard to re-fit.

T welded nipple you are talking about does not take a bolt it takes a self tapper so you will not find a bolt that will fit
