Hi all
We have a small property just outside of Pine Creek NT, 2 hours from Darwin and 1 hour from Katherine. Our family has planned a trip south for Christmas (first time in 10yrs) and our planned farm sitter has let us down.

We are planning to leave on the 1st of Dec and return approx 20th Jan.
If anyone is interested in a Xmas in the Top End please contact me.

Pine Creek is a great little community and is very welcoming to all visitors.

Anyone interested will need 4wd as access to our place can be a little tricky once the monsoon rains set in.

Our email address is isaacmob@aussiebroadband.com.au

What tasks would be required for the lucky farm sitter???

Cheers Kev

Cont: Pine Creek property

The jobs during the stay are all basic stuff...feed chooks daily...feed dogs....let goats out mornings and lock them up nights ( there are only five). Lawn mowing and weeding around fruit trees......

We have solar power so sitter will need to be shown how to start back up genset and how to start pump on creek for water.

Should mention we dont have aircon but living quarters are cool and spring fed creek is 100 mtrs away for refreshing dip.

Pine Creek township is 15mins away with post office, service station, 3 pubs, supermarket, cafe etc

yes the climate is pretty warm during those months but it truly is the best time to be up here. The wet season storms are magical and the top end when it's green is a sight to behold. The Creek....well it definately doesnt turn into a raging torrent and I forgot to mention...there are no crocs..the creek is spring fed not river related.

Hi Jocelyn. Geeeze if we were a bit more organised we could have done it. We are just waiting to sell our house and have a 30 foot long van sitting in the drive way ready to go and do exactly what you are wanting someone to do. Hubby is off a million acre station in the Kimberly's, so he knows what he is doing if you have acre's.......
We plan to do farm sitting when we finally do get away.
But as the house is not sold yet, we will have to say no this time.
Hope you find someone soon and you cans till have your holiday.
Karen

Geez Jocelyn, you've given plenty on here itchy feet with that offer LOL.

Hope you find the right people to do what you want. Sounds like a lovely property to look after for you.

Any other time we'd have jumped at the chance.
