Hi All,
I am trying to find out information about a single room cabin that I own. I have no idea what make and model it is and when it was built but suspect that it is an early 90’s model. The only identifier I have been able to locate is that the range hood fan displays “jayco” on it. I have searched high and low to locate an information plate to no avail.
Is anyone able to assist in identifying if my cabin is indeed a Jayco and more information about it?
Appreciate any assistance.
Cheers
AG

The fuse box may hold a clue, the electrician may have left his licence number and maybe his phone number when the donger was tested in the factory.

Thanks all for your responses. I have emailed Jayco but they have not responded as yet. As for the fuse box that has been one of the other things I have not been able to locate, yes it is very strange. Any ideas where the fuse box could be located?
Just to describe the cabin again it is basically rectangle in shape and at the front is a small kitchen and the rest is just open with storage cabinets on the side of it.
Unfortunately I cannot post any pics as I am a visitor member.
Thanks once again.

If it is powered up it should have a
junction box on the outside wall where the mains cables feed it.
The small switchboard should be on the inside wall directly behind
the junction box and either above or below it. It may be quite small and may only have 2 circuit breakers.

Thanks Rockape, yes the cabin is powered however on the outside it simply has a power point which in turn via an extension lead is plugged into the parks electricity box. Directly inside on the opposite side of the external power point there is no fuse box on the outside which can be seen. It has me puzzled as to why I cannot locate it.
Thanks for you help.

More of a reason to become a member.................so you can post some pics.
:-)
It wouold be very hard to be able to help identify the van with no pics,,,,,,,,,,all caravans are basically rectangle in shape.
Maybe a caravaning
forum might be more help, or there is a vintage caravan
forum as
well....
:-O

Gidday
The local Council will have the details of your cabin. Ask to speak to somebody in the Planning Department.

you don't need to be a member to post up pics on here, i've done it heaps of times and i'm only a visitor.
you just need to host them somewhere like photobucket and then C & P the URL here.

If I am not mistaken I think Jayco did make some onsite cabins/transportables way back when.
