Gidday all,

I have a 2003 T/D Dual cab Hilux. I reckon it's great and it does our job in the on and off road touring department. It has about 165,000 k on the clock.

Instead of tenting I have bittern the bullet and will be towing a camper trailer. Possible 1000kg.

Any ideas on improving the performance on this vehicle without sacrificing the reliability and fuel consumption. It could do with better fuel consumption though.

Can you "chip"these?

Exhaust?

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Greg

Have a look here to see if your model is listed.

We have them in both our car and 4x4 and they are great.

Has there been much feedback from LPG owners, I am hearing some mixed reports, despite that I would hate the fact I had to fill up a gas tank and a diesel tank everytime I refueled. I believe you are going to get longer intervals between refills but just wondering how owners are feeling about this?

I have 2001 hilux td and tow a camper trailer with plenty of gear on board. I would not be bothered looking for more power as there is plenty at factory spec.

I have read opinions that suggest it does not do the power train and motor any good and i am inclined to agree that it would. More power = mmore fuel consumption.

I guess its human to always want more but it's a wise man who knows when he has enough.
