I would like to know if anyone has a solution for a robust fridge slide for a 85 Litre EvaKool Fridge to fit into
the tub of a Nissan D40. I have one currently but it does not allow the fridge to slide out far enough so that the lid can be lifted up completely as it is restricted by the canopy top.

Make your own, this is what i did with our Evacool 65 fridge/freezer, have a look at my profile for the fridge slide table that i built it uses 2 heavy duty slides that lock when in the in position and also when pulled out fully, the slide table also has a small work table that pulls out from below the fridge slide.
Cheers

The slides are made by
ACCURIDE DRAWER SLIDES , they have a local distributor details of which are
WILSON & BRADLEY, they are a very good slide which have worked perfectly for me for the last 4 years.
Cheers Jim

Thanks Jim, that was the sort of info I was looking for. Do you know what specific model you used though? I had a look through and couldn't find any that lock into both the open and closed positions (maybe that particular one is discontinued?) - that could be a handy feature, just in case you end up parked in the occasional place that isn't absolutely level! :)

If you're interested in a simple custom DIY slide:
You can buy a set of the 1000mm long 100kg slides for about $100. They are a single extension slide that will open to 835mm. Weld whatever length of angle iron across each end and you'll have a custom fridge slide. I did this for a storage system I made a few months back.

I'm also assuming that the fridge slide is mounted at floor level in
the tub and if you make the above, you'll need to have the compressor facing inwards (like an engel). As the fridge is 880mm long, you should still have enough space to access the controls at the back when the fridge is pulled out. Also you'll need a spring pin or patio door bolt as a lock.

How much are the Drop Slides? I had a look on the website but they don't seem to want to tell you the price, even though they'll happily accept an order!
