Just home from fantastic extended w/end swag
camping at Pickerings Flat on the Howqua. We fished a deep hole at 8 mile flat early on Sunday. In this deep hole on the flat side bank there is a 3lb (approx) wild Brown trout that has a hook of
mine stuck in its gob. If you happen to catch this beautiful looking fish can you please return hook - preferably with fish attached to me in
Torquay.
All tracks were open and the Howqua is flowing fast and looking a treat. Not much wood around at pickerings but plenty on the way into sheepyard flat.

Gday Rip64
George M caught a reasonable sized brown trout in the
Avon river a couple of weeks back.We didn't get a photo.

Well done Murray, that will teach us to pack the landing net with the rods not leave it in the shed.
P.S - I did not get any photo's of
mine either.
Sure is a beautiful part of Victoria up there, also a heap of dear stalkers out over the w/end, not many shots heard though. Maybe like my trout - all the dear got away also.
