Is there any diff between a 93 & a 94 gxl cruiser?
From what I've seen in the for sale pics, the diff is
the dash. Are there any benefits going for a 94 over a 93?
And what to look out for too.
cheers

They are thesame, some 94's got the cd instead of a tape player. 80 cruisers are series 1 90-8/92, then series 2 from 8/92 to 1/95, after that series 3 till early 98.
Only thing to waych with these models is the factory turbo motors do bigends and you really need to see history before purchasing.
Std diesel 1hz and petrol 1fzfe are bulletproof.

The main difference was between 92 & 93.
The 93 80 series had the disk brakes all around & the upgraded gear box ect.
I would guess the 93 to 94 was very similar !

G'Day Kev,
Does this mean pre 93 had rear drums?
Mine is stamped 11/92 and has 4 wheel discs....I'm a little confused as to whether
mine is first of the series 2 or last of the series 1..
Any idea on what the 'box upgrade was?
Cheers

Mine is also 11/92 & has disks allround
I was a bit general with the dates, i think it was early 92 had rear drums & from then on was disks so yours would be the first of the series 2.
The series 2 also had 16" rims instead of the 15" ones to clear the new brakes.
As for the gear box i think they had some trouble with the early ones & apparently the post 92 were changed & are ok now, i don't know what the problems were.
Kev.

8/92, upgrade to series II, saw the introduction of disk brakes on the rear end on the base model.
