Sam,
We travelled that route a few years ago with a trailer. Ours is a full off road camper. It weighs about 1000kg fully loaded and has excellent ground clearance. It is towed by a 4.2 TD GU and I have been towing it off road for about 13 years.
I am assuming you mean a Jayco style camper, pop the roof up and pull the ends out. If that is the case I think you would struggle to get it through without damage. A couple of the
creek crossings had reasonably steep entry and exit points and I think you would drag the tail quite badly.
Others may have more up to date information on road conditions but from what I saw I would not take anything other than a dedicated off road trailer.

You can just get a regular poptop into Pineapple Flat via Telephone Box
Junction, the Circuit Rd & King Basin Road if you take it steady. Only issues are the King Basin road gets very slippery after rain with a couple of mud patchs & the crossing of the
King River to get to Pineapple Flat will be up a little at the moment. May need to tape up the doors/vents on the van for what is normally a straight forward (smooth) crossing. Of course that can all change if it pours.
A
snorkel is not usually required for the crossings of the upper King or Howqua Rivers although a blind is always good insurance to carry.
I wouldn't tow a standard camper in or out by any other route.
Cheers Craig............
