Have had one for almost two years now works a treat the reversable opening of the lid is great when used on different sides of the ute. Anyway all the best.

Had one for a couple of years with no problems. Ditto on the reversable lid. I use
mine as a freezer and have a 40 litre as
well.

Hi Handy
I do have 2 Engel fridges, but not the MT40F. They are a great fridge, still using all the same running gear as the metal body fridges. The only reason why Engel went to the Polypropylene Cabinet, was to be able to supply the same quality fridge, using the same and trusted motor, but in a cheaper to produce cabinet.
The only thing that is does not have, which is no big deal, is the internal cabinet temperature display. After all, when it is in the back of the vehicles and packed up, I am not able to read my display. Most people usually run a remote thermometer inside the cabin of your vehicle to watch the fridge temperature.
You can not go wrong.
Cheers
Stephen

I've had one of the Engel eclipse fridges also for nearly 2 years. It replace a 30 odd year old 28 litre Engel fridge that had been fantastic. The eclipse is fantastic, a bit larger that our old engel so that's a bonus and is tall enough to be able to stand up a wine bottle(very important feature). I would recommend one of these to anybody that is looking for a mid sized fridge that will serve them
well.

Well I don't have the Eclipse but I have the only other plastic engel, the MD14E, and last week it was fully loaded and i dropped it onto quite compact ground from waist height (has a strap but no handles). I had a heart attack, was not a cheap little fridge.
But lo and behold the Engel reputation held in tact and it purred up and away as soon as reconnected, albeit with a substantial dent.
