Like Pesty, I too have a Helton. The thing that appealed to me about was that I could get it with the inlets and outlets all on the one end....so I could place it up in a corner where a Glind or Twine wouldn't fit. I had a Twine previously and it was very good too, but with hoses going in/out at both ends, it didn't suit my needs when I bought the Chev-Nissan.

As above, also have the Helton, bought the one with all the connections at one end as it suited my engine bay. Must be simple as I managed to install it myself! And it works.

Hi John

I have a Helton set up on my Nissan and it's a great unit although I find the gas unit that I have in the back of my truck camper a lot more convenient and better to use. No engine to run and hot water on demand.

Regards
John

Hi there i also have one these units, the unit it self is good but need to look at the shower.I used it once to try it after install ran great, several months later we went to the farm and helped around the place with the farmer it was hot.Went back to the camp site had a few beers, later that night we went for a shot sevaral hours later we called it a night, back to camp for a hot shower and gess what the shower craped itself the pump was seized pulled to peices and it was stuffed, so had it replaced by helton, so what lets this unit down is the pump, cheap and nasty $20. to replace so buy a backup like i have or buy something more expensive regards Stan.

I use a Coleman and love it..How do you control the Heat level in these things..I know if to cold you rev engine etc or wait till engine heats up..But if its to hot how do you keep it at say 30 degrees..

I have had a Helton fitted to my Nissan for a couple of years. Just got the heat exchanger and fitted it to a demand pump and did all the plumbing to suit. Works great ! !
