I have a 2000 model Dual Cab Hilux and I need to replace the rear shockies. It's my daily drive as well as my escape vehicle having tackled the Simpson Desert and Cape York in the past year. The ride is pretty rough especially in the back but is much better when fully loaded. I'm not sure if I should get the leaf springs looked at as well. Anyway, any suggestions on which shockies I should fit would be greatly appreciated.

If its still the standard suspension, and you are going to keep the vehicle for a few more years, look at replaceing the whole lot with an off the shelf set up.

Ride height will improve as well as load carry.

I have recently fitted Dobson Shockies and they are performing very well. I had quite a rough ride with my HD Suspension and these have taken some of the discomfort out of the ride :-)

Thanks guys, I don't really want to replace the whole lot, not at the moment anyway, just want a smoother travelling. I'll check into those Dobinson's, haven't heard of that brand.
