Have been out fishing on the reefs for the past 16 years and nearly missed out this year due to a lot of regulars pulling out due to fears of job losses as a result of the financial crisis.
However, two mates and I have got a berth for a 7 day trip starting Saturday evening.
I will give a report on the trip when I get back.
Although I can say we go out anything up to 160 km's and have a great time.

Boo Boo, this trip sounds a bit "Fishy" to me LOL'
You understand no doubt that we will all require the evidence to be presented here in pictorial format on your return, and don't forget the Trek Notes :-)
Fred.

Yeah, right Fred
I think I can handle the photos, but the trek notes might be a problem.
Although I know where NW Rocks are. We the boat ran up onto that reef a few years back and at one stage it looked like the 18 of use would have to swim a km to the nearest sand island.
Eventually three other charter boats came to our rescue, an interesting trip!

That would be New Horizons, John Halletts vessel? Johns a good friend of mind, have not seen him for a few years since I left
Yeppoon, heard he sold the boat.

Whim and Isuzumu
The boat that ran onto the reef was the Booby Bird.

Wim
I used to go out on the Booby Bird for a long time, then it changed hands and we followed the skipper over to the Tura and its sister boat Eastern Voyager.
EV is a good boat. 4 or 5
toilets and showers and a ggod crew.
