For information of anyone interested. Bruce & Jacqui Farrands of Rabbit Flat Roadhouse has posted the following information at the Post Office at Yuendumu.

From 2/11/200 the Roadhouse commenced partial season closure. Closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday until 2/4/2010. However he will offer a service to travellers from 4pm to 7pm those days but no camping. On open days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) he will be open 7am to 9pm but if no travellers are around at 7pm he will close.

The bottom line: As from Sundown, 31st December 2010 Rabbit Flat Roadhouse will be closed permanently and there will be no service or facilities for travellers of any kind. Fuel will still be available at Tilmouth Well Roadhouse, Yuendumu Store and Mining Company and Billiluna.
