Does anyone know where you can buy a Coolgardie Safe, have looked on the net and not turned anything up, could prob make one but would prefer a decently built one

As Member No 1 says; try antique dealers and auctions BUT be prepared to pay BIG money for anything in fair to good order.
For those prices you could easily build one yourself using galv sheet or aluminium angle pop rivetted together and hessian sheets.

A little bit of bush ingenuity would be needed but it is a relatively easy project.

Most Coolgardie safes were only normal everyday meat safes with wet hessian over the top.

Have a look around some secondhand shops including Salvos, St Vincent de Paul etc. Bound to find what you're after if you spend the time.

It had a large tray under it to catch the water. It's just out of the photo.
