Is it not a worry that a company has so much second rate product that it needs a special sale to unload it ???? ;-)
Cheers Craig.....

Hey Crackles,
I bought a 110lt fibreglass esky 3 years ago from the 2nds store for $285. Perfect condition but no bung hole. New EvaKool 110 was about $300 more at the time.
The other products I inspected in the 2nds store were scratched, grazed or old stock. There could be a bargain there for someone & never any harm in looking!

Cheers.

Crackles,
I couldn't agree more... it's a real worry :-)

I've never heard of an Engel or EverKool seconds sale

Maybe Engel don't make their fridge's with scratches, as an option ?

Thinking about it, don't all new fridge's come packed in a box ??

Maybe they are USED and/or FAULTY products, returned under warranty ??

I don't see how a new product, packaged in a box, can get scratched ??

EvaKool always had heaps of seconds back when I was living up that way and seems they still do...always good to save some dollars.

I don't know about Waeco, but I know the bulk of the "seconds" in the Coleman joint at Minchenbury are not really seconds. They are stock that has been over ordered or returned by the major retailers. You will probably find that Waeco is similar. I know some of these companies provide new stock for warranty service and sell the repaired ones as seconds.

Our Waeco CF 80 was a "second", $990 delivered to Merlbourne five years ago. It has performed faultlessly.

Despite its brilliant performance I'd never own another one (nor an Engel, which I owned prior to the Waeco) as neither has decent insulation.

Bang for Buck, I'd buy an Evakool next time. But for the time being the CF 80 will be kept until it dies.

Jim.

like Jim, I bought an FF70 litre 7 years ago and I didn't even see what was supposed to be wrong with it. Paid $500 +50 p+p. If you wanna get all emotional over a "perfect" Engel or anything else, it's your money. Open minded about my next one, whenever that may be. i suppose Mainey will stick with Engel until he dies.

Steve,
Why would you suggest something silly like that?
Everyone knows I did not design any part of either of those two brands, I don't have and have never had anything other than the brand I presently use, and I assure you it ain't either of those toys :-)
