There is a large bush fire burning in the park around Cooloola. The fire is thought to have started from a camp-fire, even though fire bans were in place.
This shows the importance of obeying fire bans and ensuring that campfires are properly extinguished, when allowed.

Must have been the 'wildlife' at play (with matches) - yet again. Surely no human would be so stupid as to have a campfire on a ban day !!

I'm in the Mary Valley and the smoke came over very thick. Its amazing isn't it ones wanting to break the laws that are put in place to protect people/property so on. Couple of weeks ago some campers at the bush camp here got cranky cause they couldn't have a fire. I've Been hanging out for a roast but have had bans for weeks will just have to wait. Those rains just cant jump that Jimna hill.
