building a trailer, which will have a camper on top.
planning on a hyland hitch (haven't bought it yet)
was wondering if someone could measure up the overall width of one for me.
Its going to sit between the A frame members and I need to know how much room to leave.
thanks
frank

Why don't you get all the measurements then ask David Hyland.
Darren Hyland can be contacted on (07) 3200 6261

thanks, but I meant the measurement of the part that attaches to the trailer. I assume by swivel bolt you mean the ones either side of the ball coupling.

The width of the socket itself is approx 100mm maybe 102 mm.
This is across the centre line of the socket where the pivot bolts are, but inside the U channel it all swivels off.
I hope thats a clear description.

Just reread the post again and the width of the flat pad that attaches to the A frame on the trailer is Width approx 98 to 100mm and length is 148mm.
Sorry for the confusion.
