I have the 300 lite plus.
Very easy to put up although the fly and small awning does add some time - and the fly could be a pain if you are on your own and it is windy. Tent itself is fine in the wind.
Durability - I think I've probably put
mine up and down about 40 to 50 times now and it all still works. I do have a small hole in the fly but have no idea where it came from - probably me being careless. Seems very
well built.
If you really want durability get the canvas - but it'll be much heavier!
Anaconda sell them and occasionally have 20 or 25% off.
BCF sell a 270 plus lite which might be an alternative. I think they used to have a 270 lite (not plus) for $599 but the 270 plus lite is $999!! (I think)

B.C.F. sell the 270 Lite Plus, exclusive to them. Got one myself , happy with it, other that the awning has to be put at a slope when raining so as to stop
water ponding up in it. Regards G.T.

I have the Black Wolf Turbo300 canvas. I am very happy so far with the tent, i have used it 3 times arleady;
The best thing is that I can put it up by myself in under 10 minutes.
What troubles us though is that the tent when packed is quite bulky, but we managed to load it in the car having one set of back seats down in our stationwagon with no drama. We plan to buy a box trailer with high sides next year to accomodate everything...
I payed for ours 1000$. I still think that it was a big purchase but I didn't look back since then. If you plan to go
camping every now and then probably a cheap dome tent would do, but if you go often then with this tent you won't look back.
I have noticed recently in caravan parks we stayed, there were at least 3-4 Black Wolf turbo tents. This may say something about BW's products...

We've had the BW T3 Canvas for 2 years now - probably has been used on about 30 occasions and is very robust; not a single hole or tear.
The only downside as above is the relative bulk plus the packdown is a bit awkward for one person.
Otherwise it's a quality piece of kit that is amazingly easy to erect - unless it's quite windy we don't even bother to peg it out anymore as the weight of the bedding and other stuff we toss in overnight easily holds it down.
We only use the fly if staying in place for more than 1 night - it's not worth the trouble for just an overnighter but is not much extra effort if staying during the day.
Cheers.

Gday Mike,
We've had a BW Turbo Lite plus 300 for almost 2 years and I've used it on quite a few trips. It has good points and bad points.
First the bad!
- The tent is not as quick or as easy to put up as the simple canvas tents I am used to. It takes a while to get the fly on.
- packing it up is a real pain. The tent itself barely fits back into the bag - thats after you make all the effort to compact it down. Then the fly is a squeeze as
well, then it requires two people to do up the zip. I've never been able to get the poles back in the main bag.
- The floor in the "lite" tents is made out of thin material - ours got a hole in it first time out - we now use a decent groundsheet under the tent to prevent further damage. This is disappointing after using quality canvas tents with decent vinyl floors.
The good:
It is extremely light for its size.
The tent is stable in the wind, and hasn't leaked in the limited amount of rain we've had.
Good ventilation - plenty of windows.
My daughter wanted a black wolf - I steered her to the canvas versions - worth the extra money and they have a better floor.
Cheers
phil

I gave up on the original bag - definitely too small.
I don't find the fly that bad (I suspect oztent flies are similar) but it does add time for sure.
I've never had a problem with the flooring.

Mike,
I'm also in
Adelaide. An Anaconda Club thing arrived in the post - 25% off Black Wolf Tents Thurs 19th to Sunday 22nd Nov.
I usually say its 25% off their already inflated prices, but it might work out to be a good deal.
Cheers

I think you'll find it is a very good deal. Unlikely to get 25% rrp on these tents elsewhere.

Mike,
We paid $679 for our 300 lite after shopping around.
We have only used it three times and find it easy to set up. The fabric in the lite is not as heavy as the canvas model, however we had a tent made of similar material and it lasted about ten years. In saying that I'm a bit anal about looking after my gear and always use a ground sheet.
If you do a lot of
camping the canvas model would be better.
Regards
Geoff

We have the 240 lite plus. Used it twice including down at
Rapid Bay with 2 very windy nights (during our last heat wave the other week).
Plenty of the fibreglass poled tents snapped (including our travelling companion). Many were moving their cars for wind protection it was that bad. The blackwolf held up brilliantly so it passed it's first
test for strength. then again when you look at the thickness of the poles compared to the cheapy fibreglass poles you would hope so!
Ease of use: brilliant. packing up is a bit of a nack to make it fit but after a couple of times we get it in the bag fairly easily now, just takes a bit of getting used to. their video online shows how to do it but she takes 10 times longer that what is needed because she is chatting away as she is doing it.
I bought
mine at the last caravan and
camping show. Just did the walk around and got them all to compete against each other :) some wouldn't move on price but finished up getting a bargain (cheaper than what I could get on line) from a
camping store on South Road on the LHS as you head South. Around near the old Mitsubishi from memory. sorry for the vague directions but that's not my side of town.
Good luck. You won't regret getting one whether it be the lite or canvas.

And we love ours too. It took us a while to work out the packing up but after our 2 weeks away in October moving every day we worked it out.
