I'm trying to sort the ceTrack file in Ozi and save as separate files on my PC. My intent is to excise the various trips track files from the master and save them individually for later use or making available to others who might like them. I had intended using dates as the delineator as I know timings of my various trips but have noticed that Ozi (various versions) save the ceTrack in a couple of formats. The first on has the date clearly identifiable:

-35.283697, 149.172765,0, 1917.3,39036.2472454, 15-Nov-06, 5:56:02 AM

and the second does not:

-35.3295533, 148.9649750,0, 1891.4,39916.0083449 ,130409,001201.000

I'm guessing that the string of numbers in the second version is the date/time but how do I decipher it? Does 130409, 001201.000 translate to 13 Apr 09, 12:01:00 PM or am I on the wrong track here?

Thanks
Pete

Some info re .PLT file formats.

"Note that OziExplorer reads the Date/Time from field 5, the date and time in fields 6 & 7 are ignored.

Example
-27.350436, 153.055540,1,-777,36169.6307194, 09-Jan-99, 3:08:14
-27.348610, 153.055867,0,-777,36169.6307194, 09-Jan-99, 3:08:14 "

and believe this is relevant to field 5

"Date Format

Delphi stores date and time values in the TDateTime type. The integral part of a TDateTime value is the number of days that have passed since 12/30/1899. The fractional part of a TDateTime value is the time of day.

Following are some examples of TDateTime values and their corresponding dates and times:

0 - 12/30/1899 12:00 am
2.75 - 1/1/1900 6:00 pm
-1.25 - 12/29/1899 6:00 am
35065 - 1/1/1996 12:00 am "

This is the format excel uses for storing date and time so copying "39916.0083449" into excel and formatting it as time gives
"13/04/2009 12:12:01 AM"

So 130409 is 13 Apr 09
001201.000 is 00:12:01AM (or 12:12:10am as excel shows it.)
